Health and Weight Loss Supplementation

Are you wanting to lose weight? More importantly, would you like to get rid of excess fat? Are you already working out or dieting, but feel like your body could use a little metabolic boost to help your increase your energy and fat burning? B12 injections are well-known for several benefits, but what about combining that B12 with other vitamins and amino acids for additional health benefits?

The Village Osteopath offers the subcutaneous B12 injection as well as the intramuscular lipotropic B12 injection. Although the lipotropic B12 injections are usually administered in conjunction with our HCG diet, they can also be used by patients wanting to supplement their weight loss or weight maintenance goals.

Components of the Lipotropic Injection

Methionine
Methionine is an amino acid which acts as a lipotropic agent to speed up the removal of fat within the liver and prevent excess fat buildup in the body. Additionally, it aids in the prevention of skin and nail problems. As an amino acid, methionine works as an antioxident by inactivating free radicals.

Inositol
Methionine is an amino acid which acts as a lipotropic agent to speed up the removal of fat within the liver and prevent excess fat buildup in the body. Additionally, it aids in the prevention of skin and nail problems. As an amino acid, methionine works as an antioxident by inactivating free radicals.

Choline
Another member of the vitamin B family, Choline supports weight loss by aiding the utilization of fat within the body. Like inositol, choline assists in the emulsification of fats and cholesterol in the body. It also aids in the transport of fats and helps with overall detoxification by relieving the liver of excess fats. Choline is also helpful for fatigue; with low levels, fat metabolism and utilization may be decreased.

Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12)
Known as the “energy vitamin”, it is associated with increased energy and decreased fatigue. Combined with a weight loss program, B12 can work as a supplement to suppress the appetite. Read more about B12 (methylcobalamin) here.

Recommended Use

At Village Osteopath, we recommend the use of lipotropic injections in conjunction with a diet and/or exercise program to optimize weight loss or weight maintenance. Patients who have used lipotropic injections as a supplement with our diet program have experienced successful weight loss and weight maintenance. However, there are other factors that can contribute to weight gain, or the inability to lose weight, including thyroid or hormone imbalances. These and other factors should be considered before beginning any weight loss plan.
