Ozone Therapy

We are thrilled to announce our newest treatment option, Ozone therapy.  Discovered in the 1950’s, Ozone is now being used to help the body detoxify, heal and recover from a variety of conditions.

What is Ozone?

Ozone is a gas consisting of 3 molecules of oxygen.  It naturally occurs in our bodies, as well as in the air we breathe.  You may see ozone levels listed on weather reports and air quality information.  Oxygen most commonly occurs in the form of two molecules, it is the addition of this third molecule that gives ozone unique healing properties. Our white blood cells naturally produce ozone to help fight infection and protect our bodies.

How Is Ozone Therapy Used?

We will be offering two forms of Ozone therapy:

IV Ozone in which a small quantity of blood is removed from the patient, placed into a sterilized bottle and mixed with ozone.  The blood is then placed back into the patient via an IV.  This process allows the body to utilize the ozone extremely effectively and lasts about an hour.

Prolozone is similar to our Prolotherapy injections, it is widely used in pain management, especially in joints.  It’s non-surgical and involves two steps.  Step 1 is an injection of an anesthetic along with essential vitamins and minerals into the site.  Step 2 involved injection of ozone gas.  Patients often find an almost immediate decrease in pain of 50%-80%!
